Born in Jérémie, Haiti, the “cradle of Haitian poets,” Jimmy discovered his love of music in Port-au-Prince, where his older brother Raynaldo first taught him guitar. He quickly showed a natural gift for the instrument and never looked back. Over the course of his career, he co-founded the Kreyol Jazz/Fusion bands Splash and Kreyol, toured the world with the renowned Haitian Rasin band Boukman Eksperyans, and co-founded Boukan Ginen, leading the group through two albums. His guitar work and songwriting have also appeared on recordings by some of Haiti’s most beloved artists, including Beethova Obas, Emeline Michel, and Reginald Policard. Now, with his debut solo album Jimmylogy, Jimmy brings his lifelong musical journey to the world, with a simple belief that music connects us all.
