Danny Welser became hooked on ballooning in 1982 after taking his first ride in a hot air balloon. His wife recalls knowing he would buy a balloon the moment he began peppering the pilot with questions. Just a year later, in 1983, Danny became a licensed balloon pilot and has since flown in rallies across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

He is currently the president of Heaven Bound Ascensions, a hot air balloon ride company offering passenger flights over the scenic landscapes of Northeast Ohio.

Quechee, Vermont remains one of Danny’s all-time favorite ballooning events. He’s captivated by the area’s breathtaking countryside and has built lifelong friendships with many in the Quechee community. Each year, he looks forward to returning—sharing his love of ballooning and making new connections along the way.
